Andrea Slattery
NED and Chair for several boards
Andrea is currently a NED on the Board of AMP Limited, AMP Bank, AMP Foundation, Clean Energy Finance Corporation, Infrabuild Ltd, the Deputy Chair of the Woomera Prohibited Area Advisory Board. She is also Chair of the AMP Limited ESG & Sustainability Advisory Group and Infrabuild Ltd Audit & Risk Committee. She is also a Competent Boards alumni. She has proven experience in financial services, government relations and innovation and is an expert in strategy, governance, culture and transformational change.
Andrea embodies authentic, values-based leadership. She is at the cutting edge of change regarding culture, climate and the future focus of corporate boards. A considered, thought-provoking and trusted strategic thinker, she offers compelling insights into corporate culture and industry transformation within a highly regulated environment. In all her roles, she has displayed a capacity to effect commercially sound and major long-term change as a disruptor of industry norms.
Starting her career in tax and academia, Andrea was the Founder, Managing Director and CEO of the SMSF Association for 14 years. Andrea has been publicly recognized by three prime ministers, government and industry peers as one of the most influential and strategic thought leaders in the Australian financial services and retirement systems. She has also been instrumental in effecting positive change for the financial equality of women.
Andrea holds a Masters of Commerce & Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from University of South Australia, is a Fellow of Certified Practicing Accountants, a Member of Chartered Accountants of Australia and New Zealand, a Fellow of SMSF Association, a Fellow of Australian Institute of Company Directors and an inaugural recipient of Harvard Business School Corporate Director Certificate. She is a member of Chief Executive Women and Harvard Business School Women Execs on Boards.
Andrea, and husband Paul, live in Adelaide, South Australia and have four sons, four daughters-in-law and 12 grandchildren. She loves family, a glass of wine and playing tennis.
