Connie E. Carras

Visionary Strategic Future Builder, Independent Chair and Director

Connie E. Carras, CPA, CA, GCB.D, CCB.D is a visionary, strategic Future Builder and Governance Professional with a global perspective. As an Independent Board Chair and Director and a Retired Partner from PwC and IBM, she is a trusted, purpose driven leader, who champions governance and strategic transformation, enabling organizations to leverage “Innovation for Good” as a competitive advantage.

Connie chairs the EnerQuality Corporation Board (Canada) and serves as Director, Risk Committee Chair and Governance Committee Chair on the Canlan Sports Inc. (TSX:ICE) Board. She also serves as Director on the ZenniHome Holdings Inc. (US) Board, as Board Advisor for LevelUp ESG (UK), as ESG and Climate designation examiner for Global Competent Boards, and as part of the NuEnergy AI (Canada) governance faculty. 

After successfully establishing and scaling consulting practices to market leadership, Connie retired as the Canadian leader for PwC and IBM’s Pension and Institutional Investor business. She now leads CEC Enterprises Consulting as its Founder & CEO and the firm’s work providing Board Governance and C-Suite strategic innovation advisory. 

Connie brings a mindset of future abundance that has been a pervasive hallmark of her 35 years’ experience working across Canada, the US, and the UK in Institutional Investment and Capital Markets, Banking, Insurance, and Real Estate and Housing. Today, Connie continues to excel at bringing together the Boards and teams that take ideas, foster partnerships, and source capital to accelerate industry innovation, build resilience, and deliver impactful results.

Beyond her Board service, Connie is a sought-after mentor for aspiring directors and a recognized thought leader who persuades more leaders to action. She frequently speaks on the board’s vital role in innovation governance and the stewardship of meaningful investments in the opportunities created by ethical, responsible AI and other transformative technologies. Her insights highlight how these initiatives can serve as accelerants of competitive advantage, drive sustainability, and meaningfully uplift humanity.
