Erin Meezan

Chief Sustainability Officer, JLL

After recently joining JLL as their Chief Sustainability Officer, Erin ensures that JLL’s strategy and goals are in sync with its aggressive sustainability vision. During her time at Interface, the company evolved its thinking to go beyond doing no harm to creating positive impacts, not just for Interface and the flooring industry, but for the world at large. Erin led the company to unveil a new mission – Climate Take Back, tackling the single biggest threat facing humanity: global climate change.

Erin led a global team that provides technical assistance and support to the company’s global businesses, addressing sustainability at all levels – from operations and management, to employees and customers, and in policy forums. Erin and her team were also responsible for developing industry-leading approaches to measurement, and driving transparency and innovation in the field of sustainability. This includes creating a framework for implementing the company’s newest sustainability mission which aims to transform Interface into a carbon negative enterprise by 2040.

Erin is a frequent lecturer on sustainable business to senior management teams, universities and businesses audiences around the world. Erin serves as a guest lecturer at Harvard University for the Executive Education for Sustainability Leadership program. She also is on the Advisory Board for Project Drawdown, and a member of the Responsibility Advisory Board for SIG Combibloc a packaging solutions company. She also sits on the Advisory Board for the Sustainable Intrepreneurship MBA (SIMBA) program at the University of Vermont’s Grossman School of Business. Erin is a magna cum laude graduate of the Vermont Law School, where she earned her Master’s Degree in Studies in Environmental Law and her Juris Doctor degree.
