Joan Bryna Michelson, MBA is a highly accomplished executive, journalist, consultant and speaker who has driven breakthrough results at financial services/management consulting firms, automakers, small businesses, nonprofits and government agencies, and worked with top media organizations.
Joan specializes in corporate responsibility issues, also known as environment, social and governance (ESG) issues, and business innovation, communications, women’s advancement, and leadership. She hosts the acclaimed Electric Ladies Podcast (formerly known as Green Connections Radio), where she has conducted over 400 engaging and fascinating interviews with women leaders across industries, government, academia, media, philanthropies and nonprofits.
She writes regularly for Forbes on these issues and her work has appeared in various other media outlets including: New Thinking magazine, Harvard Business Review, HuffPost, TheAtlantic.com, Greenbiz, The New Economy magazine, WTOP-FM, as a columnist in a regional business journal chain, and on CBS News’ “60 Minutes,” ABC News, and “The Crusaders” and NBC. She earned her BA from UCLA, her MBA from Baruch College, CUNY, and has done graduate studies at Harvard Business School.
