Mia d’Adhemar
Independent Consultant, Scope – Social Performance Consulting
Mia d’Adhemar has extensive experience in corporate social performance, stakeholder engagement, sustainability reporting and ESG.
Up until 2023, she was Head of Sector Standards at the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI). In this role she was responsible for establishing a new program of work to develop reporting Standards that describe the impacts and stakeholder concerns from a sustainable development perspective for up to 40 different sectors. Prior to this, Mia was the project manager for GRI’s tax Standard, GRI 207: Tax 2019, which is now being used by 26% of the 1,000 largest public companies worldwide in their reporting.
Before GRI, Mia worked for a decade at Woodside Energy, Australia’s largest independent oil and gas company, and worked across exploration and development projects in Australia, Asia, North America, Europe and Africa.
In the past year, Mia has been focusing on the ‘S’ in ESG, providing independent advice and training on reporting and managing social impacts.
Mia holds qualifications in Commerce, Arts, and Social Impact from the University of Western Australia.
