We are proud to announce that our alumnus Kee Wong, who recently graduated from Competent Boards’ Global Sustainability & ESG Designation (GCB.D) and Certification, will be working with us to grow our presence in Australia.
Kee is the founder and managing director of e-Centric Innovations Pty Ltd. and a seasoned Non-Executive Director with nearly 40 years of senior executive and Director roles. Kee currently serves as an independent Non-Executive Director on a number of publicly listed companies, government enterprises, private businesses and for-purpose organisations. He is a serial entrepreneur and investor in start ups and growth companies globally in sectors including technology, services, retail, food and beverage, and property.
Kee served as a board director for the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD) from 2017 to 2023, and currently still chairs the Governance of Innovation and Technology Panel for AICD. He remains a Non Executive Director for Car Group (Carsales) globally, the Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO), Australian Business Growth Fund (ABGF – a public/Private growth investment fund), Nomura Reseach Institute (one of the largest Japanese consulting and services company listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange) and Walter Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research (WEHI).
‘I found the Competent Boards program to be an outstanding program all around – a strong cohort of peers with an extraordinary lineup of faculty. I’m confident that corporate leaders in Australia can benefit immensely from the insights Competent Boards provides. It has made me a stronger board director and I have no doubt others will benefit similarly.’
In his role with Competent Boards, Kee will help develop long-term strategies in the region, and identify and nurture key strategic partnerships.
“We are incredibly grateful for Kee’s engagement and thrilled to benefit from his tremendous experience and insight,” said Helle Bank Jorgensen, founder and CEO of Competent Boards. “While we are proud to have trained over 1,000 current and future board members – many from the region – we look forward to having an even deeper impact in Australia.”
